The star of the Harry Potter films, Daniel Radcliffe, has recently revealed that he suffers from a mild form of dyspraxia.

Dyspraxia is a neurological condition that impairs a person’s movement and can affect a person’s development in physical, intellectual or language areas.  It can also affect a person’s process of learning. In severe cases, it can hinder a person’s ability to walk up stairs, hop, run and jump. Additionally, dyspraxia can impinge on a person’s capability to perform in stressful or challenging situations.

Daniel’s form of dyspraxia is very mild, however it means that he still has difficulties tying his shoe laces and in a interview joked ‘I sometimes think, ‘Why, oh why, has Velcro not taken off?’

Daniel’s spokesperson said that ‘Yes, Dan Radcliffe does have dyspraxia. This is something he has never hidden. Thankfully his condition is very mild and at worst manifests itself in an inability to tie his shoe laces and bad handwriting’
